Job Description

o Establish a daily routine/schedule to maintain database to include inventory of tools, stockroom supplies and shop supplies held in inventory.

o Issue product to customer employees as needed.

o Receive product into CribMaster software as needed.

o Examine auto generation report daily and determine purchasing needs.

o Place stock item purchase orders daily with suppliers.

o Place non-stock (spot buys) purchase orders daily.

o Examine critical item stock levels daily.
-
o Expedite overdue purchase orders.
-
o Prepare measurement information relative to stockroom component pricing, inventory levels, inventory turnover and other metrics that may be required.

o Identify savings opportunities. o Coordinate efforts of application specialists for productivity improvements.

o Identify “critical items” for production.

o Analyze order point’s and order qty’s on an ongoing basis to; minimize “on hand” inventory, minimize “shut downs”, and minimize premium freight charges
Required Skills
-
Maintain a minimum/maximum inventory system for all items, to ensure parts are available when needed.

Reconcile all discrepancies with supplier shipments.

Select and establish outside vendors for MRO supplies.

Responsible for ordering and reordering necessary and best quality supplies at competitive prices, on a timely delivery basis.

Require that a Material Safety Data Sheet accompanies each product coming into the facility, or that a copy is on file at the facility.
Comply with all environmental, health, and safety practices, policies, procedures and regulations to ensure a safe and healthful working environment; prevent pollution, and practice waste minimization to make continual improvements in the safety and health of all employees and the environment
Required Experience
1.1 Must have a high school degree/GED. Minimum of 1 year experience
1.2 Must have good communication skills, and be able to understand and carry out oral and written instructions, as well as setting work priorities, working independently in the absence of direct supervision.
1.3 Prefer spreadsheet and word processing experience.
