The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Murfreesboro is accepting applications for an Instruction and Accreditation Support Associate to support the Vice President of Instruction and Accreditation in administering and coordinating faculty affairs and accreditation/licensure. This role supports and applies the TBR and campus policies and procedures pertinent to the area, under the guidance of the Vice President of I&A; assists with the planning, developing, and implementation of faculty training to meet the department's present and future needs; and assists with the administration of faculty functions, including staffing, attendance, coordinating/scheduling employment review and disciplinary matters according to guidelines set by the Vice President for Instruction & Accreditation. The position will comply with TBR and COE accreditation standards as well as federal guidelines.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the Vice President of Instruction & Accreditation in the implementation and monitoring of departmental goals and objectives under the guidance of the Vice President of I&A.
- Provide support by tracking and monitoring COE accreditation data, including report due dates and meeting dates. Develop thorough familiarity with COE requirements and guidelines and assist VP of I&A in developing a yearly calendar of accreditation and licensure deadlines to ensure compliance.
- Support VP/I&A by scheduling bi-annual faculty evaluations conducted by the VP of I&A to ensure that all faculty evaluation objectives are met. Ensure proper recordkeeping of yearly faculty training goals established by the VP of I&A.
- Assist VP of I&A in recordkeeping of VP of I&A’s formal and informal classroom observations in support of faculty on aspects of classroom management and faculty administrative functions.Facilitate scheduling of faculty and program meetings held by the VP of I&A and maintain program meeting records. Maintain records of advisory board membership and meetings.
- Assist VP of I&A in updating the campus Faculty Handbook, within guidelines established by the President and the Vice President of Instruction and Accreditation.
- Assist VP/I&A in preparing the department budget each year and help maintain costs within budget allocations. Communicate with faculty regarding budget guidelines within parameters established by the VP of I&A.
- Assist VP/I&A in preparing the annual report to the General Advisory Board, Legislative events, and other information as requested by the Board or the TCAT M Administration.
- Assist VP of I&A in ensuring the smooth functioning of all classrooms on a daily basis, including monitoring of faculty attendance and location of appropriate substitutes.
- Work with Human Resources to develop a pool of program faculty substitutes; work with all programs to ensure that weekly class lessons are available in the event of unplanned faculty absence.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
- Three years of full-time employment in higher education setting.
- Must have successful experience in an educational setting. Must understand campus, state, federal policies and laws, and have experience with a student information system and accreditation requirements in any program.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, or Associate Degree plus three years of related experience.

- Initiative and cooperation, i.e., to plan and organize work without close supervision; show good judgment and perseverance; have the ability and possess a desire to interact positively with faculty, staff, and students.
- Good organizational, language, writing and communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation skills); attention to detail; ingenuity and creativity in thinking of new solutions to challenges.
- Ability to concentrate/focus for long periods.
- Solid computer skills, including MS Office Suite, especially Excel; Outlook; Teams; ability to search for and locate information on the internet and to complete/create web forms and surveys.
- Must show evidence of good character and mature attitude. Confidentiality and discretion in departmental and personnel matters is a must.
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk, or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands.
- Prolonged periods working on a computer.
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
- Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the campus.
- Must be able to utilize all parts of the company equipment.
Salary Range:
This is an exempt position. Salary commensurate with qualifications, education, experience and in accordance with the guidelines established by the Tennessee Board of Regents.
