Job Description:
We are seeking a knowledgeable Payroll Specialist to process and manage Tentho members’ payroll accounts. You will be the one to calculate wages based on hours worked and administer payments, using payroll software with accuracy and efficiency. The goal is to ensure personnel receive the correct compensation in a timely manner and maintain employee time records.

Who you are: You are the ideal candidate because you possess the below skills and experience:
- You have a high school diploma or equivalent; BSc/BA in business, accounting or relevant field is a plus.
- Two years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping with at least one year of experience in payroll preferred.
- Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices
- Exceptionally good knowledge of legislation and regulations of the field
- You are self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- You are procedure oriented with strong emphasis on compliance.
- You are a tech-savvy thinker and problem solver.
- You are highly organized and detail oriented.
- You can manage complex tasks.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality
- You are proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll software
You crave these responsibilities:
- Entering, maintaining, and/or processing information in the payroll system; information may include employee’s hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and other information.
- Ensuring proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, charitable contributions, and other deductions.
- Ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates
- Checking timesheets for accuracy
- Preparing and processing direct deposits and off cycle payrolls
- Acquiring all necessary approvals to distribute payroll.
- Responding to payroll-related inquiries and resolving concerns.
- Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
- Adjusting pay for raises bonuses and commission.
- Records and processes federal and state payroll tax deposits.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Identifying and recommending updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.

Pre-Interview requirement:
- One (1) years’ experience in payroll software and systems, such as QuickBooks Payroll, Gusto, ADP or Paychex.
- Track record of strong data management and attention to detail skills.

Pay: $18.01 - $20.23 per hour
