LOCATION - Hybrid: Kansas City, MO

ABOUT THE JOB
Tepa Companies is seeking a Project Manager to own and manage all aspects of projects to include client relationships, schedules, budgets, and profitability through comprehensive project completion. As the Project Manager, you will collaborate with the project teams to ensure the project is efficiently executed to meet the client’s expectations on schedule, on budget and with high quality deliverables.
Essential Job Functions:
- Manages the project and its development from beginning to end
- Creates and maintains a project schedule
- Coordinates with project controls and accounting staff to establish a budget in Deltek
- Facilitates the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
- Facilitates a kickoff meeting with the internal project team and with the client and holds ongoing internal and external status meetings during the project to ensure that the project delivery team is on the same page
- Manages every aspect of the development process including consultants, subcontractors, vendors, specialty contractors, budgets, and internal departments
- Manages each phase of the project including proposal, staffing, kickoff work performance, billing, and project close out
- Plans, schedules, and manages project timelines to see all deadlines are met
- Presents monthly reports defining project progress, challenges and solutions
- Performs cost estimating
- Performs quality control and assurance
- Performs budget development, forecasting and management
- Conducts pre-qualification and procurement activities of subcontractors
- Updates and maintains budget in Deltek and generates monthly project updates
- Performs cost and risk analysis and provide recommendations to management
- Maintains open communication with project staff
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor’s degree in geology, engineering, or similar
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG), or eligibility to obtain registration within 6 months
- Minimum of 5 years of engineering or geology experience
- Minimum of 3 years of project management experience
- Track record exercising project management skills
- Capability of running multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work as a team player and individually
- Strong self motivation and initiative
- Understanding of risk management policies and procedures
