Maintenance Professional

Territory: Richmond/ Chesterfield/ Western Henrico/ Mechanicsville

Job Purpose:

Terien LLC dba Sola Salons is seeking a full time and experienced maintenance technician/ handyman willing to travel within the specified territory and assist clients with building repairs. The locations include studio salons for beauty professionals who need help solving building-related issues; troubleshoot, diagnose and repair. Ability to build relationships is very important, customer service is a must. Ability to work closely with sales and operations teams to coordinate work. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in property/ building maintenance with a basic understanding of carpentry, electrical, and plumbing. Must be able to pass a background check.

Basic Skills in the following Trades:

• Minor plumbing connections (sinks, faucets, toilets)
• Minor electrical connections (light switches, fixtures and outlets)
• HVAC (basic knowledge, certification not required)
• Drywall repairs, patching & painting
• Minor tiling (backsplashes)
• Cabinet Installation and Removal
• Use of basic tools and the ability to install or assemble by following instructions
• Handling projects when needed, working with vendors as required
• Heavy lifting, standing, bending, and reaching

Most work will be day time fixing commercial buildings. Some nights and weekends on call are required. The bulk of the work is independent, but teamwork is a must. Ability to manage time and prioritize; must follow special instructions and schedules through designated technology is important.

Must have the following:

• Commercial Construction Experience (5 years), preferably trade skills as a maintenance or repair technician.
• Ability to travel regionally (50-75%).
• Clean driving record and personal transportation.
• Tools (drills, hammers, etc).
• Good communication skills. Able to work independently and without direct supervision. Trust is paramount.
• A professional, clean appearance when on site.
• Basic computer/ technology skills including the use of smartphone apps on a daily basis.
• Willingness to learn other skills.
• An appreciation for customer service and satisfaction.
• Pride in your work and leaving spaces clean and neat.
