The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to join our team and help drive the success of our software products. The Product Owner will be responsible for developing product strategies and roadmaps, conducting market research, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring our products' successful launch and growth. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills and experience in software product ownership. This role will be focused on supporting our suite of Travel and Risk solutions. These solutions help our customers contribute to the security and welfare of their students, faculty, and visitors during their international travels.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and execute product strategies and roadmaps that align with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Conduct market research and gather feedback from customers, stakeholders, and industry experts to identify market trends, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, marketing, and sales, to ensure the successful launch and growth of products.
  • Create and maintain product documentation, including user stories, product requirements, and release plans.
  • Define and analyze key product metrics to measure product success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Communicate product vision, strategy, and progress to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and competition to ensure our products remain competitive and innovative.

 

What You Need to Get the Job Done:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in software product management, with a track record of successfully launching and growing products.
  • Your resume should indicate evidence of product value delivered and/or customer satisfaction.
  • Proven ability to build long-term, strategic relationships with key stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Trello.
  • Experience in agile methodologies and frameworks, such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Experience in software development or technology-related industries is a plus.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to client meetings (less than 15% of your time)
  • The ideal candidate would have experience managing a product in the Travel and Risk space (Concur, International SOS, etc.)
