Job Description:
We are excited to invite you to look into joining our enthusiastic and talented team at Terra Marin School, working with preschool, elementary, and middle school students. Our Spanish teacher will follow the guiding principles of our school and be able to share their passion for the Spanish language while also sharing their knowledge of the Spanish culture and tradition through class celebrations, special events and engaging, culturally appropriate activities.
We are currently seeking a 3/4 full-time Spanish teacher position (if you seek full-time, we can add other subject teachings to your coursework). Each Spanish class will have 5-15 students, ranging from Kindergarten to 8th grade. You will lead 4-5 different classes a day, starting from 11:00 am – 3:30 pm, five days a week.

We are seeking a talented individual to join our middle school teaching team as a Spanish Teacher.
Qualification Requirements
- A passion for working with young people
- An openness to professional development and continuous learning
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A pleasant approach to work and, ideally, a sense of humor
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Spanish or related field
- A minimum of 3-5 years of teaching experience
- Proficient technology skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office
- Candidates with English and/or humanities experience are a plus
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with teams to design and implement an interdisciplinary, thematic-based, experiential curriculum
- Use the Harkness Method to teach
- Lead an advisory group
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Appropriately carry out specific responsibilities as designated by the division (e.g.eg. duties)
- Honor the confidentiality of school and student information
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
- Engage in self-reflection and professional development through goal setting, PD opportunities, and ongoing dialog with division directors.
Other Duties
- Attendance on field trips and middle Outdoor Education Overnight
- Support admission work through tours and visitors
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in education and content area a Plus

Salary : $45,000 - $65,000
