In this Safety Technical Specialist role, you will assist the EHS safety manager with new hire trainings, managing the safety data sheet program, and conducting daily walk throughs of the campus to ensure safety procedures and processes are being followed. You will also assist in conducting internal audits, perform regulatory compliance reports, follow up on all safety reports and work with internal and external customers.
Safety Technical Specialist Responsibilities:
- Manages SDS program with customers
- Assists in the development of written Hazardous Waste management procedures, audits, and training of employees
- Implements written environment, health, and safety programs, ensuring safe working conditions for all employees and compliance to company safety policies as well as all laws and regulations
- Aid in conducting internal audits.
- Promotes 6S implementation for the entire work environment
- Ensures vendors, contractors, and third-party employees are compliant to the company health and safety standards
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm
Safety Technical Specialist Qualifications:
- B.S or an equivalent education in Occupational Safety, Environmental Management, or a related field and/or relevant experience
- 2 years of experience working in environment health & safety management
- Understanding of environment, health and safety management principles, programs, and policies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Pay: $68K - 75K DOE
