What does a Construction Materials Testing Technician do?
Construction Materials Testing Technicians perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials (e.g. soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel). They read plans and specifications and compare what is being constructed to the plans and specification. They communicate with the project team, clients, and contractors on the construction site, project requirements, and testing, observation and inspection requirements and results. Transport material samples with associated identifying documents to the laboratory for further testing and analysis. Collect, prepare, and submit testing data and observation in written and digital form.

- You must have a valid driver license with acceptable driving record and be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Obtain ACI certification within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Certification:- Obtain Nuclear Density Gauge certification within 6 months of hire.
