Terradyne Engineering is currently seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team! The role involves overseeing day-to-day, monthly, quarterly, and year-end functions of the accounting department, including supervising, and managing accounting associates to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Essential Job Duties:
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
· Oversee both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring precision and promptness in transaction processing.
· Promptly research and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
· Process checks and ACH payments and oversee daily payable invoice entry.
Period Closing and General Ledger:
· Manage the period closing process, ensuring the accurate posting of journal entries.
· Uphold the integrity of the general ledger and provide insightful recommendations for continuous improvement.
Bank Reconciliations:
· Prepare and maintain meticulous daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations to monitor and verify financial transactions.
Financial Statements:
· Skillfully prepare and maintain monthly financial statements, offering valuable insights into the company's financial performance.
Year-End Filings:
· Lead the preparation and organization of year-end filings, ensuring strict compliance with regulatory requirements.
Payroll Processing:
· Process weekly payroll through Paylocity, demonstrating precision and compliance with payroll regulations.
Reporting and Process Improvement:
· Ensure accurate and timely completion of required reporting.
· Drive process improvement initiatives within the accounting department for enhanced efficiency.
Other Duties:
· Perform additional related duties as assigned by the VP of Corporate Administration.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance with 4 years of comprehensive accounting experience.
· Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
· Must have extensive expertise in QuickBooks Online.
· Collaborative team player with the ability to work cross-functionally with various departments and senior leadership.
· Thrives under pressure, exercises sound judgment, and maintains discretion with a commitment to confidentiality.
· Capable of managing multiple concurrent assignments and deadlines, showcasing a strong work ethic and organizational skills.
· Possesses a sense of humor and adapts effectively in a small professional office environment.
