Tyvak Nano-Satellite Systems Inc., a Terran Orbital company, is seeking a motivated and experienced Launch Integration Manager at our Irvine, CA location. Tyvak is a leading worldwide provider of nanosatellite and microsatellite vehicles, services, and solutions to Commercial and Government customers.
As a Launch Integration Manager at Terran Orbital, you will work within a multidisciplinary team to manage the execution of launch integration activities and personnel. You are accountable for managing the launch team, processes, and executing to the plans provided by the Directors of AI&T and Launch Operations.
The Launch Integration Manager owns the relationship between the AI&T Director and the Launch Operations Director.
A successful Launch Integration Manager executes on-time, on-budget delivery of their projects. The end goal of every Launch Integration Manager is to deliver affordable, high-performance space systems at an escalated pace.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage launch integration team along with supporting various AI&T functions
- Maintain launch schedules, process improvement plans, staffing plans, and budgets (direct costs, subcontracts, travel, etc.)
- Incorporate the latest Manufacturing system tools, equipment, and technologies into the Launch Integration activities
- Track all internal and external deliverables, prepare and present formal KPIs and informal milestone updates as appropriate
- Work closely with members of their own program team, technical peer teams, and program controllers to ensure our Launch Integration Team meet all requirements and achieve all milestones.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences
- 8 years’ experience as a project lead or project manager with a demonstrated reputation for delivering unique, high-complexity systems
- Proven track record of leading teams within AI&T, Launch, or Mission Operations
- Ability to communicate with various launch provider services
- Demonstrated the ability to deliver on-time and on-budget
- Demonstrated experience working with Flight Hardware and operating in AS9100 rated Cleanrooms
- Experience with MPR, ERP, and Process System Tools
- Understanding of satellites, space sensors and ground systems used for space assets
- Ability to help organize and manage a team of personnel, develop program schedules, and control budgets to meet required deadlines
- Meticulous attention to detail
- To comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Master's Degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences or Business Administration
- 5 years of experience as a Lead Systems Integration Engineer on spaceflight projects
- Experience with government customers and their project management practices
- Concept-to-launch experience with one or more satellite missions
- Experience with cost and budget constrained space programs
- Experience with aerospace environments (other than traditional, large prime contractors)
