Our next Retail Compliance Manager will partner with retail leadership and cross-functional partners to develop and maintain regulatory operations within our Gage dispensaries.

You will be challenged to work strategically and tactically to review and create retail compliance SOPs, implement improved retail compliance processes, as well as stay up to date on changing Michigan Cannabis regulations.

One minute you will be developing and submitting regulatory documentation to the CRA.
The next minute you will be conducting regulatory compliance audits.
And the next minute monitoring inventory tracking and dispensing.
Regardless of the task, it's critical you have strong situational awareness and EQ as you'll work with diverse teams across the organization.

Where you'll be planted:
We are looking for a candidate residing in Michigan. This is a boots-on-the-ground hybrid position that will require travel in our Michigan Market.
To be blunt, this person will:
    • Aid in the development and submittal of critical documentation as required by CRA and regulations.
    • Conduct regulatory compliance audits to ensure conformance with CRA, regulations and associated laws.
    • Ensure all required reporting to CRA regulators are on-time and accurate with rules and regulations.
    • Utilize the company's internal management software to monitor quality operations including but not limited to inventory tracking and dispensing.
    • Stay up-to-date with changes in regulatory legislation and guidelines.
    • Work with state quality and regulatory bodies to ensure that all required documentation is in full compliance.
    • Maintain all required documentation as per approved procedures.
    • Review receiving and dispensing of medical marijuana products.
    • Perform root cause analysis for product results as required and report to management.
    • Maintains comprehensive knowledge of the assigned regulatory processes throughout facilities.
    • Become a subject matter expert in MI seed-to-sale tracking system where applicable.
    • Work closely with the Safety Committee .
    • Conduct inventory control audit and procedures.
    • Support operations with SOP implementations and audits.

    • Minimum of 2 years of compliance and/or quality assurance professional experience.
    • Strong understanding and practical knowledge of regulatory operations.
    • Medical Marijuana experience is a plus.
    • Must have good organizational and computer skills.
    • Must have excellent interpersonal communications skills as well as the ability to multitask.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
    • Must be willing to submit to and pass a comprehensive background check
    • Knowledge of inventory/ inventory controls
    • Understanding and experience with state inspections and /or internal inspections.
    • Ability to train and implement compliance processes.
    • Experience working with cross business units.
