Job Title: Operations Manager

Reports To: VP, Operations 


Reporting to the VP of Operations and collaborating with every functional team at Tersus, you will be leading a team of operations associates to ensure the success of our brand partners. You will be responsible for hiring, coaching and growing your team while learning every aspect of the process required to make the team and Tersus successful. You are a leader willing to get your hands dirty while also stepping back to assess the entire process to know when and how to make changes and evolve with a growing business. This is a physically demanding role but also requires some level of strategic thought and willingness to collaborate and communicate up and down the organization.


Responsibilities:


  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse personnel, including assigning tasks, providing training, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop warehouse staff through coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations.
  • Take ownership of your operation, develop your team, adjust and evolve the team’s process to hit monthly and annual goals for Tersus and our partners
  • Set performance goals for the team and individuals, create accountability on the team, and ensure expectations are clearly communicated and delivered against
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Use all internal tools and develop best practices to track employee performance, hours, and adherence to our Employee Handbook
  • Effectively communicate with your manager and team members on a daily basis
  • Act as a lead and face of Tersus operations with external partners
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism, empathy, and ability to adapt to a changing environment
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by conducting regular cycle counts, reconciling variances, and investigating discrepancies.
  • Monitor and optimize warehouse layout and storage methods to maximize space utilization and facilitate efficient operations.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures regarding inventory control, safety, and cleanliness.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as sales, partnerships, and customer service to ensure timely processing of products, fulfillment of orders, and resolve any issues.
  • Implement and maintain systems for tracking inventory movements, orders, and shipments.
  • Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse activities, including productivity, inventory levels, and accuracy.
  • Handle disciplinary actions as needed and resolve conflicts among team members.
  • Participate in the hiring process for warehouse staff and provide input on staffing needs.


Qualifications:


  • A positive and growth-oriented mindset
  • Experience managing and growing a team of hourly employees
  • Proven experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Demonstrated experience helping to develop and improve processes
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Comfortable communicating to executive management and business leaders in a clear and effective manner
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as well as stand for extended periods.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or overtime as needed.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.

Salary range is $50,000-$65,000 depending on experience and fit.
