As a full-service Systems Integrator and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), (Ranked #1 System Integrator focused on Water/Wastewater and #12 overall on the Global System Integrator Giants List 2023). Job Summary:


Develops new customers and interacts with existing customers to increase marketing and sales of Tesco's Transportation products and/or services. Drive direct and distribution sales throughout the US. Act as a company representative; provide technical, design and capabilities information to customers. Assist customers with identifying their system requirements. Provide inside estimating team with job related information to assist in the bid process.

Requirements

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for all outside sales activities including prospecting for new customers, staying current on market changes, attending tradeshows, visiting customers and staying informed of new technologies related to the traffic industry
  • Responsible for attending industry trade shows and belonging to organizations in our industry
  • Manage, design and oversee manufacture of Service Pedestal and Pedestal products
  • Schedule and attend sales meetings with engineers, agencies, distributors and contractors with an emphasis on house accounts
  • Attend project pre-bid conferences as required
  • Communicate information from customers or outside agencies to internal departments as needed
  • Follow up with customers in regard to potential projects and budgetary information
  • Manage pipeline, relationships, travel and appointments
  • Work with engineers, agencies, contractors, and service utilities on design and specifications
  • Responsible for working with inside sales on projects costs and estimates
  • Responsible for marketing Tesco Services Pedestal, Irrigation Controls, and Battery Backup information
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Demonstrated Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills: verbal and written
  • High level of organizational skills
  • Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interact with Departmental Managers to determine a strategic approach to projects
  • Ability to communicate with city councils, managers, consultants, contractors and Services Utilities
  • Manage personal calendar: schedule appointment with customers, design engineers, internal staff, and vendors as needed
  • Responsible for managing and submitting traveling expenses

Education and Knowledge:

  • Bachelor's degree recommended
  • Electrical engineering degree or certified electrician

Experience:

  • 7 years of sales
  • 5 years of Transportation sales experience

Training Requirements:

  • Tesco Controls general office safety training

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to walk for long periods of time
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, and reach
  • Required to travel daily and overnight travel as necessary
