Essential Job Duties:

  • Administer or interpret appropriate assessment instruments to determine client’s skill level.
  • Write assessments, client plans and reviews.
  • Assure all clients coming in meet program requirements.
  • Assure training progress is documented and advancement monitored.
  • Utilize assessment information to determine long- and short-term treatment objectives.
  • Serve as program advocate and integrate program activities with other service providers.
  • Observe Rehabilitation Technicians monthly; conduct staff evaluations annually.
  • Consult with parents, staff, case managers and other community resources regarding clients’ progress, specific disabilities, and behavior management techniques.
  • Provide training to staff.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 240 hours of professionally supervised experience with individuals who have developmental disability.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in special education, early childhood special education, speech and language pathology, applied behavioral analysis, psychology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, social work, or therapeutic recreation.
  • Provide a copy of the degree along with something authenticating the degree: a sealed transcript, a release to secure a copy of the degree to Tesh from the college or university it was received from, etc.
  • Maintain funding agency standards and requirements.
  • Document participation in at least 12 hours of training each year.
  • Work well with others.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. on an occasional basis.
  • Pass national background check and drug screening.
  • Paid experience in rehabilitation appreciated but not necessary.
  • Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
  • Have an excellent driving record.
  • Provide driver’s license and proof of insurance.

Work Schedule:

Salaried exempt position with office hours Monday through Friday during the day; full time schedule requires a minimum of 36 hours per week; must be available to clients and staff.

Wage:

Starting wage $18/hr

Fringe Benefits:

  • Employees working full-time are eligible for full benefits, employees working an average of 25 hours/week for three consecutive months will be eligible for pro-rated health care benefits including medical, dental, and vision. Paid holiday, sick, and vacation also pro-rated.
