Material Expediter. (CBA) (Shift Work)
Expedites parts, end-items, supplies, and materials into or out of shops involved with the overhaul, repair, modification, check and test, and other related rework of aircraft, their structures, components, parts and equipment; receives incoming material either at an assigned work center or by picking up material at a designated supply distribution point; unloads material, opens containers as necessary to remove material for storage, checks documents to ensure the item(s) received correspond in identity, quantity, and work order number; checks work documents to ensure that the routing is correct and that previous processing has been signed-off as completed; reports discrepancies or damaged items to a higher-grade expediter or supervisor; places material in bins or assigned storage space or in shop working areas in work priority sequence; returns unneeded items to supply; assembles material into kits, packages, lots or units; ensures proper tags or documents are provided; ensures that documents for work completed have been signed and/or stamped by the mechanic and inspector; places and secures material on proper handling device; notifies transportation personnel to deliver material or hand carries to destination; licensed to operate material handling equipment. Supports overhaul, repair, modification, manufacturing, and other processing on aircraft and/or aircraft parts, components, subassemblies, and assemblies; inducts repairable assets; communicates priorities; orders repair parts; moves parts in conjunction with the expediting function from one work area to another; assembles kits; maintains inventory information on End-Item Work-In-Process (WIP) and repair parts; follows-up on requisitions and provides feedback to the direct labor worker needing the material; participates in monthly scheduling of workload in the shop; maintains overall control of the materials budget for each assigned program; prepares daily, weekly and monthly workload schedules considering status of work in progress, priorities, special projects, availability of materials, equipment, man-hours and technical data requirements; monitors status of WIP quantity, man-hours and cost in order to detect delays, identifies the cause of delays, and recommends corrective actions; gathers information regarding supplies, materials, equipment, manpower, and facilities requirements for potential or planned workload; participates with supply and parts management specialists for long-range planning of materials and/or parts; develops information needed for procurement of material, support equipment, allocation of man-hours and local manufacture of items; licensed to operate forklift to transport materials from and to customer work centers and/or staging areas.
1 Year of inventory, warehouse, or logistics work experience.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must be able to meet any Government / Company licensing / qualification requirements.
Able to read, write, understand, and communicate the English language and follow verbal and written instruction.
Must have a valid state driver’s license.
