Tesla participates in the E-Verify Program
- Responsible for assisting with the accurate and timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close
- Establish, document and perform internal control procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Perform routine and non-routine accounting tasks, including preparing journal entries and reconciliations for multiple areas
- Work with multiple financial systems and utilize key interfaces and interdependencies extract data for financial reporting needs
- Work closely with other departments on increasingly complex department projects and continuous improvement activities that may span beyond the scope of own team`s responsibilities
- Coordinate with Risk Management, Actuarial, Treasury, Finance, and other stakeholders on matters related to the insurance entities
- Work closely with Claims and Premiums teams to facilitate timely reporting of information needed to support the close and to compile quarterly and annual internal and external reporting
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, or equivalent
- Advanced Excel expertise preferred
- Experience with large-scale accounting systems preferred
- Must demonstrate attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment and the ability to adapt quickly to changing conditions to achieve results
- Possess a solid understanding of accounting principles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
