What to Expect
As Tesla continues to grow and scale is business, it requires robust software applications to help drive efficiencies throughout the business to adequately support its growing fleet. The Energy Asset Management Data and Software Solutions team supports the Energy Service organization by building software applications that enable the business to scale. The team is looking for a software developer who can help build and support applications that range from workflow automations platforms that integrate multiple Tesla applications to visualization and interactivity tools to facilitate service operations. An ideal candidate has a solid grasp of software engineering principles and is naturally motivated to seek out optimal solutions to solve problems.
What You'll Do
Develop scalable web applications that meet a diverse set of user requirements
Influence architectural decisions with focus on security, scalability, reliability, high performance, and software engineering fundamentals. * Own all aspects of DevOps and infrastructure pipelining for build, test and deployment and application monitoring of all team applications
Document troubleshooting guides to empower the users to resolve issues quickly on their own
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively at all levels in the organization and across multiple disciplines
Curious, open-minded, and driven to solve complex problems
Ability to self-start and work in unstructured environments to bring projects from inception to completion
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, practical software engineering experience or proof of exceptional skills in related fields, or equivalent experience
3 years of professional software development experience using application layer languages like Golang, Python or Node
Experience with web technologies and web frameworks (Typescript, React, Flask, etc.)
Proficiency with software engineering best practices including writing production quality code, agile development, API design, version control, CI/CD (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience writing unit tests and practicing test-driven development
Experience with Messaging technologies like RabbitMQ

Expected Compensation
$68,000 - $258,000/annual salary cash and stock awards benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
