Sr. Data Center Engineer

The successful candidate will have experience in building datacenters ground up in a tight schedule, creating/devising strategies, mentoring people and proposing technical solutions. This position involves leading from the front for AI/ML Cluster Deployment. The candidate should be willing to work both independently and managing the project teams effectively. Work prioritization, organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to react quickly are critical to being successful. In addition to strong knowledge in Data Centers builds, candidates will create documentation, innovate solutions, participate in site-level project work, and fix complex problems within the Data Center Space.

• Work with COLO provider on white space layout design
• Participate in RFP sessions with procurement providing key points for quick decision making
• Train data technicians to ensure appropriate staffing for the project
• Ensure effective and efficient management of day to day build activities including logistics
• Fast learn or act as the subject matter expert across all aspects in data center operations
• Ensure all operational KPIs and metrics are being measured and met.
• Inspire and guide improvement in team processes, technology innovation and automation
• Manage Large Scale Events (outages) and act as the call leader
• Manage and improve the workflows and through-put for data centers operations
• Recommend, document, and oversee policies and procedures to meet industry best practices and to meet required SLAs

• 7 years of professional/military experience in an IT related field
• 4 years of experience managing data center fit-outs
• 2 years experience in supporting AI/ML Deployments
• Project Management experience in Datacenter Fit-outs and Operations
• Working knowledge of Datacenter Operational/Facilities Technologies involving Electrical/HVAC
• In-depth knowledge of Datacenter Cabling Technologies, DCIM Tools
• Networking experience and knowledge of cabling best practices
• In-depth hardware architectures knowledge and troubleshooting experience
• Experience with system management tools and client/server environments
