As an Engineering Technician in the Seat Engineering Department, you will be supporting the Design Engineering activities from concept to End of Life as well as problem solving of existing products within the seating realm.
Typical commodities include seating structures, mechanisms, actuators, foam, wire harnesses, controllers, PCBs, sensors, soft & hard trim. A seat can be defined as a product which enables comfortable support for vehicle occupants. In some sense it can be viewed as a moving robotic structural art piece.
- Developmental build coordination
- Prototype assembly builds
- Test samples preparations.
- Fabrication support with both Tesla internal and external parties.
- Develop advanced work instructions for assembly process
- Serviceability Processes documentation
- Developmental hardware keeping
- Manage designated workspaces
- Logistics support

Associates Degree in Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 2 years of experience. If Less than 1 year, one should have experience with a dedicated build project.
- Hand-sketching [one of the many engineering languages].
- Automotive engineering with seating experience is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Experience working with a variety of materials (stampings, castings, injection mold, electrical etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to manage difficult projects with tight timing constraints and provide examples of such scenarios throughout your career.
Salary : $63,000 - $79,800
