Currently, we are looking for an Accountant to support general ledger, month-end close, financial reporting, management reporting, fixed assets accounting, process improvement, external audit support, ad-hoc analytic decision-making support, and special projects.
As the GL Accountant, you will play an important role and be part of a dynamic team. You will be responsible for:
- Monthly accruals, journal entries (including payroll accounting), general ledger, account reconciliations, detailed analysis, and explanations related to SAP accounting.
- Assist the accounting management in the month-end close process and continuously improve and streamline all aspects of the process.
- Assist the implementation of Corporate, Group, US GAAP, or IFRS accounting and/or policy changes.
- Assist with the annual budget process as required.
- Perform the monthly fixed assets, intangibles, ARO journal entries, and related reconciliations.
- Maintain CAPEX reports and reach out to Business Unit Controllers plant and project managers to ensure that all asset additions, transfers, and retirements activity is accounted for.
- Implement fixed assets accounting procedures utilizing the SAP project accounting module and analyze capital expenditure.
- Monitor critical internal controls related to the Fixed Asset function
- Review and analyze accounting transactions and related financial reports to ensure accuracy and completeness and explain business partners.
- Back-up for the TKI entities’ cash and banking activities.
- Provide ad-hoc analytical support and perform special projects to support the Accounting department and senior management as required.
- Assist with managing financial information and support needed for the annual audit process.
- Identify and recommend automation and process improvement solutions while ensuring daily responsibilities are completed with detail, accuracy, and timeliness.
What we will need from you:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Knowledge and experience with accounting standards, processes, reporting, and systems.
- Ability to work effectively as a diverse team member in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- High proficiency in IT skills (SAP or equivalent ERP system, Excel, Word, Business Intelligence-BI are a plus).
- Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) is a plus.
- Advanced interpersonal skills and the ability to add value to group outcomes through collaboration and developing effective working relationships.
- Hands-on approach with attention to detail, reliability, and a “get it done” attitude.
- High proficiency in analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be well organized and be able to effectively work with others and handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
- Positive attitude, good communication skills, assertive and strong team player.
