Remote Work Assignment:  This position is designated as a Remote Work Assignment, meaning that the functions of the job can be performed from any location in the US. While in this position, you will be expected to adhere to Frontier’s Remote Work Policies. Limited and periodic travel to our office may be expected under a schedule agreed to by you and your supervisor. 

 Work Environment / Remote Work Options 

  • This role can be based at our headquarters in Denver, CO or anywhere in the United States via a remote work arrangement (periodic travel to Denver from a Frontier-serviced city required)
  • If remote, you must be able to follow our remote work policies, including ability and comfort level working from home with access to a high-speed internet connection
  • If headquarters-based, typical office environment, adequately heated and cooled

What Will You Be Doing?

The Specialist, Maintenance Program Engineering creates and maintains Frontier Airlines’ maintenance programs and ensures the program adheres to all FAA and CFR requirements as outlined in Frontier's GMM to ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company policy. They provide Frontier with safe, regulatory-compliant maintenance program and related manuals.

This individual is responsible for all Maintenance Program activity relating to Aircraft Airworthiness, including, but not limited to, effectivity and scheduling for required tasks.

Essential Functions

·         Develop and implement Frontier Airlines’ maintenance programs to comply with FAA regulations and to ensure the airworthiness and safe operation of aircraft, engines and components operated by Frontier Airlines.

·         Control, create, review and implement all routine maintenance documents used to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.

·         Coordinate between Records, Planning, Engineering, and other departments to provide maintenance in accordance with the policies of the FAA, aircraft and component manufacturers, and Frontier Airlines.

·         Ensure the accuracy and timely update of all maintenance-related technical data material to include maintenance manuals, IPCs, the supplements for each of these manuals, and the Frontier Airlines TCI.

·         Research the CPCP, SI, MPD, ADs, and previous operator’s maintenance programs to ensure that all new acquisition aircraft meet FAA and Frontier Airlines’ maintenance standards.

·         Create bridging documents for aircraft acquisitions and returns and assist aircraft management department in developing the work scope to be performed to ensure the timely delivery of a safe reliable aircraft ready for revenue-generating flights.

·         The development, implementation, and integration of the Time Controlled Index throughout Frontier

·         Identify improvements for the maintenance program

·         Ensure effectiveness of safety risk controls when revising maintenance tasks

·         Promote safety within the department

·         As a working member of the group, the Engineering technician is expected to be part of the daily activities to maintain all aircraft in the current fleet airworthy.

·         Follow approved published procedures and advise on any needed improvements.

·         Review new parts for effectivity and inclusion of required tasks, create PN controls for proper tracking

·         Provide technical support for Planning, Engineering and other departments as required. Update PN controls, tasks, schedules and effectivities in FMIS as necessary

·         May conduct research and data collection to aid in the development of TCI Revisions and new/revised tasks.

·         Analyze and determine effectivities of all MPD, ALS and MRBR required tasks.

·         Work directly with Engineering, Planning and other departments to ensure compliance and accomplishment of required tasks to maintain aircraft airworthy.

·         Interact with applicable departments to define, maintain, and optimize the CAMP

·         Ensure that specifications and FMIS setup exists for new inductions, to include updating task effectivities and part numbers for induction aircraft

·         Responsible for work priorities daily

·         Ensure company policy is followed, and are properly trained to fulfill your responsibilities

·         VDRP Maintain familiarization with the training requirements necessary as defined in the GMM 100.03: Maintenance Training for Maintenance Organization Personnel and ensure training is current prior to performing the functions and tasks of this position VDRP

·         Perform computer and administrative functions as assigned by manager

·         Assist with creating Upper management presentations for manual revisions

·         Other duties as assigned

Other Functions

·         Modify and authorize Engineering Controls and task cards in FMIS

·         Process and publish Publication Change Requests (PCRs) to modify Maintenance documentation

·         Process and publish Task Card Change Requests (TCCRs) to modify Maintenance documentation

·         Assist to initiate revisions to company manuals (TCI V1, V2 and MX Program SOP)

 Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience using online maintenance planning & tracking system and maintenance programs
  • Preferred — Bachelor’s degree or related experience
