What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Coordinator position at Test?
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Material Coordinator coordinates activities involved with procuring goods and services such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts and supplies, and purchases all inventory to meet production requirements by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist purchasing team with resolving shortages
• Shop on-line and in stores for supplier out-of-stock parts
• Pick up items at local retail suppliers
• Enter price changes in DEACOM
• Confirm shortages in the plant with receiving team and by canvasing the plant
• Assist in monthly/quarterly inventory
• Assist purchasing team as needed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Computer skills
- Excel, Word and ability to learn DEACOM. (Experience with Microsoft Office)
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Reliable transportation.
- Detail oriented and conscientious.
- Creative and able to stay calm under stress.
- Knowledge of construction materials.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Demonstrate a good work ethic based on principles of honesty and integrity.
