Duties:
- Assist with food preparation and cooking under the direction of the kitchen lead
- Ensure all food items are properly stored, labeled, and rotated
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, prep, and storage areas
- Wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment as needed
- Work in a fast-paced, high expectation environment with respect for others
- Provide consistent quality presentations to guests
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Regular, timely, and predictable adherence to assigned work schedule is an essential function of the job
- Must be able to regularly bend, stoop, lift, twist, and work in a fast-paced, hot environment with exposure to cold, extreme heat, various foods including allergens such as meat and seafood, cleaning chemicals, and other various job-specific exposures while wearing protective equipment and non-slip footwear.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality setting is preferred, but the ability to follow instructions is paramount to success in our kitchen
- Basic knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques
- Strong communication skills to effectively work as part of a closely-working, coordinated team
- Must be able to adhere to Teton House Vision Statement and contribute to a positive and productive work environment
