Job Summary
Manages cross functional project teams through all phases of the project, hardware, and systems development life cycle (SDLC). Creates all project artifacts. Uses project management methodology (PMBOK) and tools to ensure scope definition, requirements and project objectives are on time and on budget. Communicates project status to team through regularly scheduled status meetings. Works closely with all stakeholders in creating a Project Charter, ROI, project risk analysis, developing business process flow diagrams, creating project requirements, design specifications, testing, implementation, and post assessment. Thoroughly familiar with all artifacts and documentation for all phases of the SDLC. Mentors and develops other project leaders. Versed in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies. Assists development team with application architecture and infrastructure improvements and implementation. 5 years of experience working on eCommerce/retail, payment, ERP, logistics, marketing, inventory management, analytics and Infrastructure projects across the enterprise.
This is a contract position for a six month assignment with potential for full time direct hire at conclusion of the assignment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Works closely with Teton Outfitters’ marketing, business and field personnel and management, vendors, and technical groups to develop project artifacts and understand business processes and work flows in the eCommerce retail and distribution arena.
- Assis application developers and infrastructure engineers in converting requirements to system specification documents.
- Provides presentations to executive management on new system proposals, business case processes, project status, cost justifications/business case.
- Mentors project team and business analysts on process workflows, project methodologies and financial justification models
- Assist in meeting expense and EBITDA goals for projects
- Develops and manages innovative project plans and financial models to ensure maximum ROI/EBITDA, IRR and payback period for all projects.
- Recommends and implements business, software and technical solutions based on positive ROI/EBITDAand IRR.
- Ensures new systems, updates and enhancements meet all SOX and PCI requirements and includes both as requirements in project planning. Includes audit and control as part of project team
- Creates project charter, statement of work, and initial cost/benefit justification for all projects
- Completes process reviews to determine as-is and to-be workflows to be used as a foundation for system requirements and development
- Manages and communicates project status through entire project life cycle
- Conducts regularly scheduled project status meetings and communicates results to project team, customers, and stakeholders
- Coordinates and oversees testing and implementation of all software and hardware projects. Ability to manage multiple platforms
- Develops guidelines for measuring project success and communicates to project team, customer and senior management.
- Manages and Mentors project team members through all project phases.
- Tracks resource usage and timelines during all phases of the project lifecycle using MS project.
- Ensures documentation is completed and made available to customer base prior to implementation.
- Assists developers with application architecture and coding (standards) on multiple platforms.
- Seeks feedback from project team, customers, and senior management on areas for improvement as part of post implementation
- Develops interpersonal skills in order to lead and manage cross functional business and development teams.
Knowledge and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Project Management
- PMP certification
- 10 years of experience as a project leader in an Information Systems environment.
- 10 years of experience working with a project management methodology and developing project artifacts.
- Experience building requirements in a JAD and/or Agile session.
- Understanding of process and workflow tools and technologies.
- Experience building project plans with MS Project. Experience building financial justifications and cost / benefit analyses and business cases.
- Experience building a PMO.
- Familiarity with the following technologies: Languages (SQL, PL/SQL. .Net), Web/APP (Web Service, XML, HTML), Database (SQL Server), Platforms (Cloud public/private and Windows)
- Retail, eCommerce, omnichannel distribution experience required.
