Summary:
We are seeking experienced Field Biologists to assist in growing Tetra Tech’s regulatory and permitting capabilities throughout the U.S. This person will be responsible for a wide variety of environmental field activities including but not limited to wetland/waterbody delineations, threated and endangered species surveys, biological monitoring, as well as offering technical support to other projects performed by the Houston office (i.e., soil and ground water sampling, environmental construction oversite, etc.).
Your Role:
- Wetland and waterbody determination and delineations.
- Completion of detailed field notes, daily reports, forms, and checklists.
- Performance of threated and endangered species surveys for proposed infrastructure development.
- Monitoring wildlife during construction of facilities, energy transmission line, oil and gas pipelines, etc.
- Health and safety assessments of project sites and teams.
- Various reporting tasks.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in biology, environmental science, or a related field is required. M.S. in conservation biology or environmental planning is a plus.
- 5 years of construction permitting, or regulatory experience is preferred.
- Experience with linear projects in the oil and gas industry is plus.
- Knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations (TX/NM/OK/LA).
- Candidate must be highly motivated, customer focused, and work well in a team environment.
- Candidate must also have the ability to manage multiple project tasks simultaneously.
- Must possess personal interaction, communications and organizational skills as well as knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, Fulcrum Data Collection, etc.
- A Pre-employment drug screen in compliance with state regulations is required.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
