We are seeking a Lead Remediation Project Manager to lead our Boise, ID based remediation team. Our Boise office offers environmental consulting services to the regulatory, commercial, industrial, mining and energy sectors. We desire to grow our permitting, remediation, and environmental compliance offerings and continue to advance into the transportation and government services sectors. Our core disciplines are geology/hydrogeology, environmental planning/permitting and natural resources. The successful candidate would be Boise, or regionally based.


The qualified candidate should have experience with and be responsible for conducting environmental or permitting related projects for commercial, industrial and governmental clients. This experience should include working with both proponents/applicants and agency staff.


The candidate would likely supervise and support staff that work on tasks that include soil, surface water, groundwater, drilling or backhoe test pit soil monitoring and soil classification, monitoring well installation, developing groundwater flow maps, use of GPS instruments and installation and monitoring of remediation systems.


Responsibilities:

  • This position requires an individual that can proficiently interpret reporting and permitting requirements and prepare guidance related to environmental rules, laws, standards and guidelines including but not limited to CWA, RCRA, and CERCLA, and may be required to support analysis under the National Environmental Policy Act.
  • Duties would include managing an appropriately sized staff to support existing and new projects, writing environmental reports and plans and interfacing with staff, supervisors and clients at all levels.
  • Accountable for project and group financial performance, leadership, and management of a team of technical staff.
  • Support workload planning, quality control, health and safety, DE&I, retention and recruiting processes.
  • Collaborate with technical staff members on project delivery, project go/no go, client deliverables.
  • Lead proposal and cost estimating efforts in the region.
  • Lead marketing efforts for current and existing clients and collaborate with Business Development/Marketing Leads to pursue additional client opportunities.
  • Support growth strategies in the region.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Engineering, Environmental Science, Natural Resources or equivalent.
  • Master’s degree or higher in one of the aforementioned disciplines is a plus.
  • 10 year’s work experience in environmental consulting or related field with an ability to demonstrate roles of increasing task or management responsibilities.
  • PE or PG registration or the ability to acquire a relevant professional registration is a plus.
  • OSHA/MSHA certifications are a plus.
  • An understanding and experience in winning work in the southern Idaho market as well as regionally, which includes the Intermountain West and Pacific Northwest.
  • A thorough knowledge of environmental requirements/regulations associated with soil and groundwater remediation.
  • The ability to interpret and understand federal, state and local environmental regulations.
  • Excellent writing, editing, proofing, organizational, analytical, public speaking, and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently or with a team to complete work products, to meet specific desired objectives and deadlines, and to prioritize and handle multiple tasks, and projects concurrently.
  • The ability to successfully manage small or large groups of professional staff.
  • A highly cooperative personality and the ability to collaborate with various types/levels of individuals and professionals within industrial and governmental settings.
  • Experience in working in the mining, commercial energy, transportation, linear features or the oil and gas industry is also preferred.
  • Modeling and or simulations related to geology and/or hydrogeology is a plus.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Must have a valid driver license and be able to pass the company DMV check to be a Tetra Tech-qualified driver of corporate/rental vehicles.
  • A Pre-employment drug screen in compliance with state regulations is required.
