Your Opportunity

Glumac is seeking a Managing Director for our Portland office.

The Portland Managing Director leads and supports the overall success of the Portland Office and collaborates with other leaders in the company. This position reports to the President.

This role will entail:

  • Skills and experience in public speaking and presentations, large group facilitation, and public interaction with diverse, varied audience types and sizes.
  • Ability to drive results through indirect management of people and tasks, using influence, credibility, and vision.
  • Ability to identify and understand needs, outcomes, and gaps within the office leadership structure.
• Business Development & Client Management
  • Effectively develops, builds, and maintains client relationships.
  • Actively researches and engages with current and potential clients to identify and position for future opportunities to our competitive advantage.
  • Is aware of and tracks market trends and strategically positions the office to take advantage of them.
  • Has a proven track record for selling engineering services to AEC clients.
  • Participates in determining the firm's overall sales goals locally and regionally.
• Office Performance
  • Understands business financials and sets and manages financial goals for the office.
  • Evaluates office workload and staffing needs.
  • Understands project management and project financials.
  • Is capable of managing and negotiating legal contracts.
• Human Resources
  • Actively recruits and retains staff.
  • Is capable of working with staff and human resource departments on office-related needs.
  
  

What You Bring – Qualifications

Impact, Innovation, and Inclusivity should be core values. The qualifications you bring include:

• 15 years of previous experience within the AEC industry with a consulting engineering or A/E firm.
• 10 years of proven leadership experience and managerial experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Oregon (or capable of obtaining OR registration) preferred.
• Additional certifications are a plus:
  • LEED accreditation
  • WELL accreditation
  • ILFI Ambassador
  • Masters of Business Administration (MBA)
