Our Denver Operations are currently seeking a Strategic Communications Specialist to support a variety of commercial energy projects in a dynamic environmental consulting environment. This position requires knowledge and understanding of business development, strategic communications, public outreach, and community engagement. Knowledge about energy infrastructure projects is a requirement.

The role will support the Strategic Communications Lead with development and implementation of business development and strategic communications strategies, and establishing and maintaining a professional relationship with clients, subcontractors, jurisdictions, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders. This position is fully remote.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement business development strategies for strategic communications and environmental projects.

• Identify potential clients and market opportunities to inform business development strategies.

• Identify and pursue new business prospects.

• Review deliverables for grammar, style (e.g., AP or Chicago style), tone, branding, and consistency with client brand standards.

• Prepare presentations, cut sheets, fact sheets, and other marketing materials.

• Support the development and production of new business proposals and cost estimates.

• Cultivate and foster strong relationships with future and existing clients.

• Identify and cultivate partnerships that can enhance business development opportunities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in communications, public affairs, public relations, political science, or journalism preferred.

• A Bachelor’s degree in another discipline may be considered with directly applicable experience.

• 15 years of demonstrated work experience performing similar tasks.

• Understanding of strategic communications concepts and best practices.

• Superior written and verbal communications skills.

• Ability to act independently, have a strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and a proven commitment to quality, continuous improvement, and client satisfaction.

• Willingness and ability to travel locally or occasionally nationally as needed (less than 10%).

• Understanding of the development and construction of energy infrastructure projects is a plus.

• Knowledge of utility-scale energy systems a plus.

• A pre-employment drug screen in compliance with federal regulations is required, along with a physical if needed.

• Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record without restrictions.

Compensation:

Salary Range: $70.00 - $100.00 hr.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience and demonstrated work experience in the above role; skills, certifications, and competencies that align to the specified role; geographic location; and education, as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
