Summary:

Low carbon energy initiatives include commercialization of TETRA PureFlow®, an ultra-pure zinc bromide clear brine fluid for stationary batteries and energy storage; advancing an innovative carbon capture utilization and storage technology with CarbonFree to capture CO2 and mineralize emissions to make commercial, carbon-negative chemicals; and development of TETRA’s lithium and bromine mineral acreage to meet the growing demand for oil and gas products and energy storage.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops new and existing processes for TETRA from concept to the finished operating process within TETRA’s Operations
- Capable of developing PFD drawing and producing material and energy balances for all new or existing Operations
- Capable of using CAD programs to build or modify line drawings
- Capable of performing complex chemical engineering calculations
- Works with R&D, Operations, Sales and all related teams to fully understand scope and to provide both guidance and expertise as needed for new and existing products
- Will lead projects by building team and an executable scope or works, building a solid cost model (OPEX and CAPEX), acquire equipment, write procedures and test plans, conduct start up and turn over the finished new or modified process to Operation’s management team
- Good communication skills are a must including capability of writing EOD and solid presentation skills
- Provide training that will aid in developing others on process improvements
- Becomes a team player working along all levels of TETRA’s Organization
- Other as defined by Regional Manufacturing Director
Requirements:
- Four-year degree: BS Chemical or Engineering degree required
- 8 years of active process / project experience in Manufacturing Environment in support or leadership role
- Lean experience desired – Six Sigma, Yellow, Green, Black Belt
