Essential Duties:

  • The assistance of equipment rig up and rig down on each well under the guidance of the Senior Operator / Supervisor
  • To prepare and operate the well testing equipment including shutdown systems, switchgear, generators & compressors, manifolds, sand separators, test separators, etc.
  • Ensure that all procedures are followed in accordance with the safety precautions and practices required and that equipment is operated within its limitations
  • To ensure that the servicing and preventative maintenance is carried out and that equipment is ready and available for use as required
  • To ensure that all power systems (motors), lighting systems and cables are used correctly and maintained in a safe working condition
  • To ensure that visual operating checks are carried out, as well as the correct operating procedures performed on all equipment and systems, as per industry standard recommendations, including safe compliance
  • Discuss all repair / maintenance actions with Supervisor for their reporting duties and system utilization records
  • Stand in for Senior Operator, when needed
  • Promote safety awareness and environmental consciousness while complying with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines
  • Promotes and takes an active part in the Quality Improvement Process

Requirements:

    • EDUCATION: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
    • EXPERIENCE: 2-3 years’ experience as a well testing trainee preferred
    • LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: Completion of Intermediate Well Testing training school
    • TRAVEL: Varies depending on job site
    • OTHER: Bilingual preferred, ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
