Essential Duties:
- The assistance of equipment rig up and rig down on each well under the guidance of the Senior Operator / Supervisor
- To prepare and operate the well testing equipment including shutdown systems, switchgear, generators & compressors, manifolds, sand separators, test separators, etc.
- Ensure that all procedures are followed in accordance with the safety precautions and practices required and that equipment is operated within its limitations
- To ensure that the servicing and preventative maintenance is carried out and that equipment is ready and available for use as required
- To ensure that all power systems (motors), lighting systems and cables are used correctly and maintained in a safe working condition
- To ensure that visual operating checks are carried out, as well as the correct operating procedures performed on all equipment and systems, as per industry standard recommendations, including safe compliance
- Discuss all repair / maintenance actions with Supervisor for their reporting duties and system utilization records
- Stand in for Senior Operator, when needed
- Promote safety awareness and environmental consciousness while complying with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines
- Promotes and takes an active part in the Quality Improvement Process
Requirements:
- EDUCATION: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- EXPERIENCE: 2-3 years’ experience as a well testing trainee preferred
- LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: Completion of Intermediate Well Testing training school
- TRAVEL: Varies depending on job site
- OTHER: Bilingual preferred, ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
