Role Responsibilities
The Reimbursement Coordinator is responsible for managing accounts receivables for Behavioral Health, Children’s Center for Autism and Intellectual Developmental Disability Services divisions. This includes accurate processing of third party payments, third party denial/appeals processing and maximizing third party reimbursement and third party billing. This position will review all claims processed to ensure that claims are paid in accordance with all third party contracts. This position will serve as the subject matter expert for reimbursement related inquiries related to these programs. This position is under the supervision of the Reimbursement Supervisor. This position will be based in Rosenberg with work hours of Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM. Responsible and accountable for the adherence to and promotion of the compliance policy.
Salary
- $18.00 to start
- $19.00 after 6 months
- $20.00 after 1 year
Required Experience
- Experience with patient account management in an Electronic Health Record
- Three years of experience in a medical or behavioral setting working with Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance
- Ability to verify insurance, collections, billing of claims and posting of payments for large health plans
Preferred Experience
- Experience with the Netsmart Electronic Health Record, specifically MyAvatar
- Appealed denials of claims for large health plans
- Billed large volume of claims electronically and provide quality review
- Working knowledge of provider contracts and credentialing
- Posted payments to client accounts
Skills, Education and/or Certifications Required
- High School Diploma/GED
- Detailed and organized
Skills, Education and/or Certifications Preferred
- Associates Degree- Healthcare supplement by 5 years’ experience in a medical or behavioral setting.
Job Related Physical Requirements
- Must be able to perform moderate lifting (1.5 lb-4.4lbs) climbing stairs, light carrying reaching above shoulder,
- Must have ability to operate office equipment and operate a motor vehicle
