Description
Texans Credit Union is seeking candidates with property maintenance experience for our Facilities Assistant role.
This position will assist the Facilities team in the care and maintenance of Texans corporate office and our 11 Retail branches located in north Texas. The Facilities Assistant will also courier vital credit union information as needed.
Major Duties and Essential Functions
1. Fulfill assigned facility work orders in a timely manner
2. Prepare and maintain status of projects and ongoing maintenance work assignments
3. Perform routine light maintenance work orders including, but, not limited to, room set-up, moving office furniture or equipment and other repairs
4. May be involved in periodic maintenance inspection of facilities regarding safety hazards and regulation requirements
5. Back-up and support the Technical Security Specialist when necessary (i.e. alarm panel codes, Kantec Badge Reader System entries, DVR and camera work)
6. Maintain branch security codes within TCU security system
7. Provide back-up support in transporting vital documentation between credit union branches and corporate office
8. Transport credit union records to and from the warehouse as needed
9. Assess facilities situations and make recommendations to the Facilities Manager
10. Attend weekly Facility & Security meeting
11. Perform all other duties as required or assigned
Requirements
Specific knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position:
1. Basic computer skills (Outlook, email and working with facilities ticket requests)
2. Basic mechanical, plumbing and electrical skills knowledge
3. Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
4. Strong time management skills to handle high work volume
5. Detail-oriented
6. Assessment skills to identify needed building repairs and general maintenance
7. Valid driver’s license with clear driving record
8. Strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain relationships within TCU and with outside vendors
9. Self-starter with ability to work independently and keep on task
10. Ability to lift up to 40lbs. without assistance.
Education:
Trade school training preferred
High school diploma or GED required
Experience:
3 years of facility experience preferred
1-2 years of driver/courier experience preferred
