Job TitleExtension Assistant Agency Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Service Department Rangeland, Wildlife & Fisheries Management Proposed Minimum Salary$20.00 hourly Job LocationCorpus Christi, Texas Job TypeStaff Job Description Major/Essential Duties of Job: Working with Extension faculty to develop, implement, and evaluate two extension projects, TX Triple-P and Flour Bluff Plan-It projects. Duties include, but are not limited to, assist with development of plant identification and coastal habitat restoration educational curriculum, obtaining plant photos in the field and organizing volunteer provided photos in a database, assist with seeking sponsors for development of new application, planning, implementing, and evaluating educational workshops, planning coastal habitat restoration field trips, promoting educational programs at community events and on social media, complete project reports, maintaining detailed records of communication with volunteers and partners, maintain detailed records of all work-related and travel activities, in-state and out-of-state travel, assist with managing part-time employee Occasional Duties: Assist with other Extension education and research projects, when needed Other duties as required. Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Range and Wildlife Management or a closely related natural resources field Preferred Experience: Teaching educational curriculum Required special knowledge, abilities, and skills: Eexceptional organizational skills, self-starter, ability to work independently and in a team setting, attention to details, Microsoft applications, excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others. Preferred special knowledge, abilities, and skills: Plant identification skills.
