This position will assist to design and execute a market strategy to identify and attract new employers to recruit Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi students. This position will develop and maintain employer relationships and work actively to promote on-campus and remote recruitment of our students by desirable employers.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the design and execution of a market strategy to identify and attract new employers to recruit Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi students. Develop and maintain employer relationships and works actively to promote on-campus and remote recruitment of our students by desirable employers. Assist employers in building their brands on campus, thereby increasing loyalty to TAMUCC and its students. Advise employers on marketing strategies and sets expectations for event participation and student involvement. Serve as an expert consultant to employers on student behavior, needs, and desires.
Collaborate and maintain active relationships with academic departments, Deans, Chairs and faculty to help integrate career knowledge into the classroom environment, to foster connections to employers, and to support the goals and missions of those departments. Establish excellent rapport among students, university departments, the general public, and employers that hire students. Maintains the highest level of professionalism. Attend university promotional functions and other events (e.g. Island Days, New Student Orientations, Alumni and corporate networking events, etc.) to represent Career Services, advises new and prospective students and their parents on the availability and importance of career services, and to assist in recruiting new students.
Ensure adequate and creative marketing of employer related events. Coordinate execution of surveys and assessments to employers on quality of recruiting services provided and utilizes data to improve the service, satisfaction, and results. Prepare monthly and annual reports on recruiting and employer development data.
Design and deliver career development workshops, information sessions, and other career related events. Attend university promotional and other events (e.g., Island Days, New Student Orientations, Alumni and corporate networking events, etc.) to represent Career Services, advise new and prospective students and their parents on the availability and importance of career services, and to expand recruiting. Plan and conduct internship workshops and information programs. Make presentations to campus community on experiential learning as a means to heighten awareness and to enhance program outreach. Assist with the representation of TAMUCC locally, regionally, and nationally through participation in civic organizations and communities as well as state and national organizations. Seek opportunities to present at professional meetings and conferences.
Serve on committees, assist department with special events, and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree.
One year experience in student affairs work or related specialty area.
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc.)
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree
Experience in student affairs work.
Experience in a higher education setting.
Experience in a Career Services related setting.
Salary:
$ 43,500/Annual
