Who we are The Department of Educational Psychology (EPSY) in the School of Education and Human Development is home to a variety of interrelated disciplines and degree options focused on human development and well-being in educational and community contexts. Learn more about Educational Psychology What we want This Program Assistant, under general supervision, provides standard support for the PATHS Program. The PATHS Program is growing and has expanded from a one-year to a two-year training program. This Assistant will serve as an Instructional Aide, trained and equipped to meet our students' needs. What you need to know Hourly Pay Rate - Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire’s experience. Qualifications Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. No prior experience required. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to conduct face-to-face, online, and verbal presentations Ability to communicate technical information and instructions to a diverse audience. Excellent customer service skills Ability to work independently once given a project. Knowledgeable about PATHS curriculum Preferred Education and Experience: Successful completion of the PATHS Program at Texas A&M University Past experience working as an Instructional Aide for PATHS Customer Service Experience Preferred Licenses and Certifications: PATHS Certificate Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledgeable about various assistive technology Ability to troubleshoot minor computer issues Knowledgeable about community resources to assist students Familiar with TAMU classroom equipment, email, processes, procedures and policies Responsibilities Classroom Support Assist instructors and provide academic support for students in the PATHS Program which includes providing in-class and out of class support. Assist Instructor with development of materials, grading, and data entry. Responsible for daily data collection on student performance. Assist instructor with creating lesson plans (PowerPoints). Develop modifications and accommodations for students. Collaborate with Advisors to help with development of student study plans. Assist students with navigation skills on and off campus. Provide assistance with troubleshooting student technology issues. Substitute teach during instructor absence. Responsible for releasing assignments and tracking student progress and attendance in Teams. Monitor Teams and respond to student inquiries. Program Support Assist with student orientations and summer check-in/out Assist with miscellaneous events such as graduation and presentations such as Open Houses Attend and assist with conferences and transition fairs Attend required weekly PATHS meetings Coordinate with vendors on curriculum Participate in the compliance process, orientation meetings, and wraparound meetings General support for PATHS and CDD faculty and staff Assist with administering surveys and collecting data for statistical purposes and may perform other duties as assigned Instructions to Applicants: Applications received by Texas A&M University must either have all job application data entered or a resume attached.
