What are the responsibilities and job description for the Traveling Superintendent position at Texas Alliance Group, Inc.?
We are looking for a reliable Superintendent willing to travel, as we work all over the U.S. As a superintendent you will be responsible for supervising construction projects such as new facility development; the addition, expansion or extension of an existing facility; or renovation/alterations to a facility in collaboration with our Project Manager and PM assistant for the duration of a project.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day to day project performance and operations of the entire field.
- Coordinate job site activity with contractors, trades, and vendors.
- Monitor manpower schedules to ensure they match project/construction schedules.
- Ensure projects are being constructed in accordance with applicable design and specifications.
- Ensure that materials, equipment resources are delivered on time, and that personnel is maintaining satisfactory job performance in accordance with our allocated time frame.
- Ensure all projects are being completed in a safe manner and report any safety violations to the project manager.
- Assists in resolving construction problems (lack of productivity, work interfaces, required manpower, etc.) and advises project management of potential work interference's, schedule difficulties, etc.
- Attend pre-construction meetings, progress meetings, and site meetings with owners, owners’ representatives, engineers, and inspectors as needed.
- Reports to PM daily and provides adequate daily photos of construction site.
- Other tasks as required by your supervisor.
Skills
- Proven work experience as a Superintendent - Commercial Construction Experience
- Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods.
- Advanced knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations, quality and safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, submittals, specifications, details and job orders.
- Competent in conflict and crisis management.
- Ability to plan and see the "big picture".
- Personable and pleasant attitude as you will often be the direct line of communication with contractors, reps, inspectors, and other personnel on the construction site.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
