Texas Campaign for the Environment (TCE) has been fighting for every Texan’s right to clean land, clean air, and clean water since 1991. General Description and Responsibilities of the Role:
The Office Manager plays a key role in support of the organization’s field organizing activities. As the first point of contact for most office visits and incoming phone/email inquiries, you will serve as the face/voice of the Texas Campaign for the Environment (TCE) Austin branch. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the Staff Director with recruiting candidates for our field organizing positions. Additionally, you will ensure smooth daily operations of the TCE office, including managing and stocking supplies including tablet computers, organizing files and materials, preparing mailings and liaising with building management and tech support when necessary. You will schedule briefings for the Austin canvass staff with local community activists and leaders. Light data entry is also required.
Knowledge & Skills:
Canvassing experience is preferred. You must have strong communication skills, interpersonal skills and a demonstrated commitment to environmental issues or other political issues. Demonstrated organizational skills and being detail-oriented are important attributes for the person in this role. We need someone who is proactive, positive and a problem-solver. Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Zoom Applications are strongly desired. Basic knowledge of IT and small office networks is a definite plus.
**A minimum 6-month commitment is required.
