Responsibilities
- Responsible for all communications with both internal teams and regulators to identify guidance and opportunities from a risk standpoint
- Promote security awareness and strong risk culture across the organization, ensuring risk & compliance are perceived as an enabler
- Provide input on compliance with online and social media marketing
- Ensure early involvement of risk & compliance in business projects to avoid unnecessary rework or delays
- Work in an ‘agile’ fashion within an environment that requires high-frequency iterations and rapid delivery
- Primary decision maker on most risk & compliance related issues for the digital initiative; point of contact with the parent bank’s Risk & Compliance department
- Evaluate existing policies and procedures, and work with stakeholders to modify or amend as needed
Qualifications
- BBA required
- Minimum 3 years risk and compliance experience, 10 years banking industry experience
- Knowledge of required controls, compliance guidelines and risk challenges faced by the retail banking industry
- Deep expertise in risk and regulatory requirements and corresponding assessment methodologies in financial services
- Familiarity with UDAAP compliance
- Understanding of appropriate controls for online marketing and social media communication
- Policy and procedure writing preferred
- Understanding of possible technology solutions and key market trends (e.g., Cloud)
- Experience working in an ‘agile’ operating model
- Experience collaborating with third parties in a highly leveraged operating model
- Proven experience in alignment with business and IT requirements, including translation of business requirements into risk & compliance requirements
- Strong communication skills, and ability to build positive working relationships across all levels of the organization and with regulators
- Expert banking and business area knowledge with capacity identify the right solutions for business
