What are the responsibilities and job description for the Butcher position at Texas Cattle Company?
We are seeking a professional butcher to prepare meat to the chef’s exact specifications by using a wide variety of processes including handling, deboning, trimming, grinding, or tenderizing cuts of meat. A successful butcher candidate will play a key role in our preparation team.

- Set up and stocking of various cooking stations with all necessary supplies.
- Prepare food for service (e.g., chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff, following various recipes.
- Answer, report and follow Executive or Sous Chef’s instructions
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with fellow line cooks, coworkers and guests.
- Proven butcher experience
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
- Familiarity with industry’s best practices.
- Familiarity with food health and safety guidelines.
