We are searching for an Associate Data Scientist. The Associate Data Scientist harnesses the largest pediatric healthcare dataset in the nation to deliver analytics, insights, and solutions that help us create a healthier future for our global community.
The individual in this role delivers data analytics and support the development and implementation of advanced analytic tools to meet the needs of teams throughout the organization. Works with a multidisciplinary team to design, develop, and create
analytical solutions through applications of data mining, machine learning, artificial intelligence (AI), and emerging technologies. Collaborates with clinical, business, and information systems team members to ideate and create new analytic
solutions impacting patient care and hospital operations. Partners with subject matter experts to understand the relationship between workflows and data, and uses that data to create innovative solutions that support and advance targeted outcomes.
Exercises knowledge of descriptive, predictive, and multivariate statistical techniques and applications, and database analysis tools and techniques, to develop strategic insights to drive operational and clinical goals.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet objectives and deadlines

- Participates in overall analytics and application support delivery activities
Qualifications
Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children’s, unless approved for a medical or religious exemption.
- Required: Master's Degree in data science, mathematics, computer science,statistics, engineering, analytics, life sciences,economics, finance, business or a specific healthcarefield (such as nursing, pharmacy, respiratory, etc)
- Preferred: One year experience in data science, data analytics, business analysis, data modeling, statistical analysis, statistical modeling, or machine learning
