Seeking sales representative with proven track record of sales to develop automotive, commercial and industrial business in the Corpus Christi area. Responsible for identifying new customers, promoting products and services, and delivering solutions to customer problelms to ensure growth and profitability. Manager and develop new and established customer relationships. Position builds relationships with customers throughout a territory and generates new leads for business. 


Commission based compensation is based on experience and sales results. Comprehensive benefit package including monthly vehicle allowance.


Essential Job Duties and Functions

  • Identify new customers by engaging in prospect sales calls.
  • Service existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule.
  • Manage business relationships with current clients by uncovering new or additional products/services to meet clients’ needs.
  • Respond to RFQs and bids in a timely manners including proposal design and presentation.
  • Negotiate with prospects and clients to find optimal price point meeting company and customer needs.
  • Keep management informed by submitting activity reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks.


Qualifications

  • 3 years' of experience in related field
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Valid drivers license
  • Demonstrated ability to hit sales quotas
  • Live within 40 miles of Corpus Christi, TX
  • Prefer Bachelor's Degree from four year college or university
  • Prefer previous experience in the fuel and oil industry
  • Prefer ability to speak and understand English and Spanish


Other duties: This position requires the use of computer software such as Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, Word and other proprietary software. Responsible for proactively resolving customer issues to secure and maintain business.Keys in customer orders which requires accuracy. Creates and reviews daily reports and monthly performance. Provides customer service by engaging in problem resolution with customers and management. Generates proposals based on customer requirements and needs. 


Day travel is required for this position
