What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Specialist position at Texas First Bank?
The primary responsibility is accounts receivable/payable duties and responsibilities with a high level of accuracy. Assist the accounting department in daily, monthly and annual duties to include but not limited to:
- Process Bank statements.
- Code vendor bills.
- Process ePays payments.
- Daily reconciliation of cash sheets and deposits.
- Direct bill commission reconciliation.
- Process check requests from CSR's.
- Accounts receivable and petty cash reconciliation,
- Monthly Bank reconciliations.
- Run Producer commission reports at the end of each month.
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare agenda for monthly meetings
- Assist with month-end reports as needed.
- Yearly online 1099 reconciliation and submission.
- Assist with yearly internal/external audits.
Education and Special Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. In lieu of degree, 2 or more years of equivalent experience.
- 2 years of accounts payable/receivable experience.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially with Excel.
- Knowledge of AMS360 software a plus.
- Must be able to work at desk/computer for extended periods of time.
