Responsibilities:
- Maintain safety and security within the juvenile correctional facility
- Supervise and monitor the behavior of juvenile offenders
- Conduct regular patrols and inspections of the facility
- Enforce rules, regulations, and disciplinary procedures
- Assist in the rehabilitation and reintegration of juvenile offenders
- Provide guidance, counseling, and support to juveniles
- Document incidents, write reports, and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a safe and positive environment
Experience:
-High school diploma or GED required
-Must be at least 23 years old (due to the age of the youth at the facility)
- Previous experience working in a correctional or similar environment is preferred however, no experience is required
- Knowledge of juvenile justice system and rehabilitation practices preferred but not required, we train
- Ability to effectively communicate with juveniles from diverse backgrounds
- Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Excellent observation and surveillance abilities
- Physical fitness and stamina to handle potentially challenging situations
