Job Title: Special Education Teacher Location: Round Rock, Texas Duration: 13 week renewable contract
Job Description: We are seeking a highly qualified and dynamic Special Education Teacher to join our team at a school in Round Rock, Texas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in special education and a passion for working with students with disabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities
- Provide instruction to small groups or one-on-one in a variety of subjects, including language arts, math, and social studies
- Collaborate with regular education teachers to modify the curriculum and provide accommodations for students with disabilities
- Assess student progress and use data to inform instruction
- Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child's progress
- Attend IEP meetings and collaborate with other educators and service providers to support student learning
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid Texas teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience working with students with a variety of disabilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using technology to support student learning
