Position Summary
Loan Servicing Specialist is responsible for performing all servicing and operational aspects relative to the Bank’s loan portfolio. Provides assistance and support to the professional lending staff. Provides superior customer service and assists with daily operations of the department, as needed.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure timely completion of loan boarding.
Review loans are entered and coded correctly and accurately to ensure accurate reporting in compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements as well as general bank financial reporting requirements.
Process non-accrual and charge-off transactions.
Review Outside Council Loan Documents
Process Loan Recoveries
Process Incoming payoffs and collateral release.
Tracking of collateral hazard and flood insurance
Provides payoffs, loan verifications, and processes releases of lien.
Works with third party vendors to resolve hazard insurance coverage issues.
Maintain collateral files and documentation.
Monitor and maintain loan escrow account to ensure taxes / insurance payments are processed correctly and timely.
Weekly, Month and Annual GL Balancing & Reconciliation required.
Assist in callback duties for loan payments, advances and new loans.
Assist with the prompt clearing of documentation exceptions. Follows up with lenders and/or attorney to clear exceptions as soon as possible after they are posted.
Assists with UCC Lien searches post funding of loans.
Assists department in any other project as needed.
Performs additional duties as requested.

Highly focused, able to rapidly determine key priorities, clearly communicate the priorities and ensure resources are properly aligned.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are necessary for maintaining effective relationships with Board members, officers, employees, and members of the business and civic community.
Individual should be able to work under high pressure situations and a stressful atmosphere and then should remain composed.
Provides a strong, compassionate and visible leadership, which fosters positive attitudes and trust among employees, customers, and prospects.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Education and Experience Requirements
A self-starting team player who possesses a High School Diploma or GED.
5 years or more of banking experience with a minimum of 3 years in loan documentation (preferred).
PC literate and knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software are required.
Attention to detail and a high degree of mental concentration are required, as well as the ability to multi-task.
Knowledgeable in loan compliance and regulations.
Must be physically present in the bank to perform job duties.
