ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The Texas State Aquarium provides high quality, entertaining programming through education, conservation, and wildlife rehabilitation. We strive to provide our guests with an exciting, educational, and memorable experience.
Responsibilities:

  • Conduct hourly rounds of designated areas between the hours of 12:00 AM and 8:00 AM.

  • Monitor life support equipment and systems for

  • Establish a familiarity with all systems in the facility.

  • Become familiar with all components of a typical life support system.

  • Establish an understanding of typical behavior of animals in the collection.

  • Learn to distinguish patterns of equipment and animal behavior.

  • Be able to operate autonomously.

  • Provide complete and accurate status of the facility, equipment, and systems when relieved at shift change.



    • QUALIFICATIONS:

    One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months of related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid TX Drivers license with an insurable record
