If you are looking for a place to work where you can establish a career that is filled with purpose, this is the job for you!Free CEUs and updated resources through Lippincott access for all nurses.The Quality Assurance Nurse (Nurse III) performs duties within the scope of practice attributed to the skills of a registered nurse and reports to the Quality Assurance Director or the Chief Nurse Executive depending upon SSLC structure. Plans, develops. coordinates, and evaluates quality assurance, and quality enhancement initiatives related to nursing and clinical care, which are in alignment with the Department of Justice (DOJ) Settlement Agreement and accepted Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (ICF-IID) standards. Works together with the Program Compliance Nurse to gather data through various health monitoring tools which will identify clinical issues. Evaluates SSLC nursing services and other levels of care through the analysis of statistical studies and performance evaluation reports. Provides recommendations for improvement to the Quality Assurance Director, the Chief Nurse Executive and/or the Medical Director. Assists with the provision of education to nursing staff and others as it relates to identified deficiencies. As assigned, serves on or facilitates workgroups related to quality enhancement of Nursing and Medical Services. Provides treatment to HHS employees injured in course and scope of employment. Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills in addition to computer skills are essential along with the ability to work collaboratively with other medical staff and executive leadership. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
