ABOUT THE POSITION
We’re currently looking for a Data and Tech Support to join temporarily our data team through Texas MidTerm elections starting August 1, 2022. This position will help manage data-driven paid phone bank and canvass by setting up tools and systems for our field teams.
This role will:
- Train staff to create lists, use MiniVAN, cut turf, manage Call Server (COS) and interpret daily reports
- Provide technical support to staff who are using COS, VAN, MiniVAN
- Create lists, set up MiniVAN, cut turf, and manage Dialer and Texting tools set up
- Support Canvass managers to interpret reports relevant to campaign
- Use reports to do quality control
- Identify external data sources and manage timely acquisition to supplement VAN data, such as voting history, polling locations, early voting sites
- Bulk upload data as needed
Preferred Skills, Abilities, and Experience:
- Must have experience using VAN (Creating/Managing Lists and Searches, Setting up Campaigns and Content, Creating Scripts and MiniVAN Campaigns, Cutting and managing Turf, Setting up Report Preferences, Scheduling Counts and Crosstabs, Managing user access, VPB management)
- Must be proficient in utilizing: GSuite, and Excel
- Undestands Device troubleshooting and requirements
- Experience working on field and/or organizing efforts and an understanding how data priorities interface with those on the ground
- Effective communicator and are comfortable and confident in your ability to relay information in an approachable respectful manor;
- Experience working on multiple different teams with people who have varying degrees of data expertise
- Experience working with data sets such as; state voter files, election results, or voter contact data
- Willingness to take user end feedback and incorporate into usage systems
Salary range: $1,000 weekly
