What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator position at Texas Wood Supply?
Accountabilities
The Shop Laborer is responsible for running each machine to its full capabilities and to keep up with the schedule while maintaining quality work and a safe working environment.
- Set up machines to complete tasks.
- Use appropriate materials to construct finished door.
- Prepare and load raw materials onto the machines.
- Coordinate with Productions Managers to obtain specifications and execute production.
- Inspect finished product to ensure that specifications are met.
- Abide by all safety, quality, personnel, and other policies as applicable.
- Assemble interior and exterior doors.
- Package and load doors and finished material.
- Perform minor machine maintenance.
- Maintain integrity of departmental planograms and perform inventory counts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Experience: 1 Year experience in door machining or wood manufacturing experience
- License or Certification: None
Physical Demands:
- Be able to lift 30-75 lbs
- Perform repetitive tasks
- Long periods of standing at a time
Knowledge and Skills:
- Must be able to read and write English.
Salary : $14 - $17
